Acquisition Endowment Fund
At the time of the inception of the Textile Arts Council, our Acquisition
Endowment Fund was established to annually provide funds for the purchase
of objects to enrich the textile collections. As the fund’s principal
has grown over the years, the amount of money available to acquire new
textiles has also grown. The curators propose the purchase of objects
they believe will enhance the collections to the Board of Directors,
who then act on behalf of the membership to release the necessary funds.
All such acquisitions are then identified as “Museum Purchase, Textile Arts Council Endowment
Fund” on
their museum label.
